Senior Forest Technologist – $270-$350 day rate. Full-time and Seasonal positions available.

Seeking an organized and focused individual with demonstrated leadership skills who will supervise a two to four-person crew through all phases of stand-level development, from reconnaissance to final layout and reporting. Applicants must be experienced performing field work under adverse weather conditions and in challenging terrain. Preference will be given to Forest Technology graduates and those registered or eligible to become registered with the FPBC, and/or those possessing layout, timber cruising, and/or silviculture experience.

 

Junior Forest Technologist –  $220-$270 day rate. Full-time and Seasonal positions available.

Seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a love of the outdoors who must be able to work in steep terrain and adverse conditions. Preference given to those registered or eligible to become registered with the FPBC, those with a forestry tech diploma or degree, and/or applicants with forestry related experience. The position includes on-the-job training and continued development and advancement for those looking to pursue a career in forestry in the West-Kootenays.

About Timberland Consultants

Timberland Consultants (2001) is a Nelson-based resource management company that provides forest-related services in the fields of planning, technical engineering, GIS, silviculture, research and administration.

Timberland was established in Nelson, British Columbia in 1985.  The department managers formed a new ownership group and commenced business as Timberland Consultants (2001) in April of 2001.  The headquarters are in Nelson, in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia.  The company is comprised of full-time and seasonal staff.   Our project managers – professional foresters, forest technologists, and GIS analysts work interactively with clients on a wide variety of forestry and integrated resource management activities.
