Overview
Responsibilities:
– Conduct forest inventories and assessments to evaluate tree health, species composition, and overall forest condition
– Develop and implement forest management plans, including timber harvesting, reforestation, and wildlife habitat improvement
– Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental laws and regulations related to forestry activities
– Collaborate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable forest management practices
– Use GPS and GIS technology to map and analyze forest resources
– Conduct research on forest ecosystems, tree growth patterns, and invasive species management
– Provide guidance on tree care and maintenance techniques to landowners and community members
Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field
– Strong knowledge of forestry principles, practices, and techniques
– Proficiency in using ArcGIS for data analysis and mapping
– Experience with data collection methods and tools
– Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations related to forestry
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 – $110.00 per hour
