Overview

Perform routing inspections, servicing, minor and major maintenance on various log and lumber processing equipment in a heavy industrial environment with a constant emphasis on safety.

Specific Responsibilities:

your primary responsibility is to assist in creating and maintaining a safe work environment

Perform routine inspections to identify and correct minor or major equipment deficiencies

Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as replacement of wear items, bearings, chains, cylinders, motors, drives and so on as required

Work with other millwrights to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Assist with projects and large repairs that may include fabrication, welding, cutting, pipe fitting, installing electrical conduit, and sawmill equipment installation.

Maintain a clean, safe, uncluttered work area

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required

Some maintenance work is performed outdoors so must be willing to work in the weather, heat or cold at times

Physical fitness: this job requires occasional exertion of more than 100 pounds of force, more than 50 pounds frequently, and more than 20 pounds continuously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
