Green Diamond Resource Company has an exciting new career opportunity available. Come join our company as a Transportation Coordinator. This position provides the expertise to effectively and efficiently dispatch current trucking capacity throughout the California properties while ensuring production goals and customer commitments are met.  This will mainly be log truck dispatch, but there will also be water, dump and lowbed trucks involved in the process. Along with dispatching this role will help with harvest operations status checks and other administrative tasks.


  • Gather trucking requests daily and assign dispatch to different trucking entities. Must be able to communicate in a manner that ensures prompt and timely arrival of trucking capacity to the appropriate locations.
  • Understand, record, and communicate out constraints at delivery locations. Address issues as they arise at different delivery locations and/or landings when concerning trucking.
  • Conduct necessary trainings and spot checks to ensure that contractor capacity follows GDRCo safety standards and meets the requirements of FSC.
  • Manage multiple projects and respond to unexpected changes to planned production schedules without resulting in downtime or lost productivity by using creative problem solving.
  • Use phone, company, and CB radio as tools to effectively and efficiently dispatch trucks to assure timely, efficient, and cost-effective loading and unloading at both remote and nearby locations.
  • Have geographical knowledge of Green Diamond’s California property to provide direction as needed.


  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in logging or trucking/transportation field or working extensively in customer service.
  • Prior knowledge of truck dispatching or experience with dispatching software preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have skill using Microsoft 365.
  • Must be reliable and work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and react to constantly changing work requirements.
  • Must be able to communicate, speak and listen in a calm, efficient and effective manner.
