This position works for the company road crew.  The primary duty of this position is to operate the necessary equipment for building, rocking, upgrading and maintenance of access roads for timber harvest on Green Diamond property. Under the direction of the Roads Supervisor this position must be able to operate road maintenance equipment in a safe and efficient manner.  The equipment includes dump truck, road grader, excavator, front end loader (bucket), backhoe and skid minor truck roads.  Must have a current Class A Drivers’ License with valid medical card.  Communication, good work ethic and teamwork are other important skills for this job.


Must be able to operate a dump truck, road grader, front end loader, excavator and backhoe.
Must have prior logging experience
Must have knowledge of environmental laws.
Must work well with others.
Must comply with all established safety requirements.
Must be able to safely operate a power saw.
Must maintain regular attendance.
Must be alert to potential hazards and respond appropriately.
Must be able to prioritize work assignments.
Must have the ability to work around moving objects and work in an environment with constant interruptions.
Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work an eight-hour shift, five days a week.
Perform minor equipment maintenance and fueling, as needed.
Must be able to fill in for other team members during temporary absences, including the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery.
Must be able to work in a rock pit safely and effectively.
Must be able to read and interpret written job safety analysis, fire rules, timber harvest plans and engineering reports.
