Timber Forestry Consulting Ltd. is a small family run forestry consulting company located in Grande Prairie, AB. We specialize in providing forestry field services to forest industry clients in the area.

We are currently looking to fill a summer student position starting in May that would end in August, Monday to Friday 7a – 7p.

Duties will consist primarily of; field layout- using a GPS unit and ribboning blocks for future logging. Quadding and/or walking through thick undergrowth and stands of trees primarily south of town.

As this is a field position, candidates must be physically fit and capable of wearing a cruise vest with ribbon, gear, lunch, and water and have excellent attention to detail. Also a willingness to work outdoors; in all weather conditions within reason.

Training will be provided, any additional training certificates such as first aid, quad training/safety, etc. will be provided if needed.


18 years or older, preferably enrolled in post secondary or recently graduated.

Experience in forestry background/education, preferred but not required.

Drivers license and clean drivers abstract required.

Ideal candidates enjoy hiking, camping, quadding, and spending time outdoors.

This is not a permanent position and is only a temporary short term seasonal position.
