Job Overview:
We are looking for FALLERS for our Type II Wildfire crews. You will be working alongside BC Ministry personnel.

The job will involve living in Ministry camps, working in the bush, being self-sufficient, working closely in a team of 4 to 8, long hours, physically demanding work, challenging falling, and an expectation of safety-focused operation.

Qualifications:

  • Certified as per BC FSC requirements
  • Qualified for work on terrain and timber type in SE or NE British Columbia
  • Meet Type II Wildland Firefighter Requirements

Wildland Firefighter Requirements:

  • Wildland Firefighting experience (minimum 17 active days in the last 3 years)
  • S-Series Wildland Firefighting tickets (S100, S185, S211, S212, S213)
  • ICS 100
  • TDG and WHMIS
  • OFA-1 w/ TE
  • Ability to complete the WFX Fit Test
  • Danger Tree Assessor (Wildfire module DTA) ticket (optional)
  • Danger Tree Faller (DTF) ticket (optional)
  • Driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract (optional)
  • Pump Operator (optional)

Pay rate negotiable.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $45.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Work Location: In person
