Ministry of Forests

There is one (1) permanent full-time position available. This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Forest offices:  Fort Nelson, Prince George, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.

Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

Senior Resource Technologist – Range
$67,728.87 – $77,012.22 annually

As the Authorizations Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, provide professional advice and may make decisions regarding the allocation of resources and adjudication of resource authorizations for the Natural Resource Sector. This position will conduct a detailed analysis of more specialized aspects of an application or proposal, coordinate the work of other staff on technical projects and tests and implement new technologies, practices and standards in the field.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent in a natural resource field.
  • Experience performing technical duties that support natural resource management.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
