Tree and Shrub Care Specialist

  • Learn and performs all function of the integrated pest management program, including administration, scheduling, inspections, sampling, treatments, inventories, equipment maintenance, record keeping, report writing, and customer relations
  • Monitor, diagnose, and treat insect, disease, and cultural conditions of trees and shrubs
  • Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment
  • Assist in lawn care applications during the off season and peak lawn seasons

What a day is like:
Your focus will be ensuring the health and well being of trees and shrubs on a clients’ landscape in your territory. This involves monitoring, diagnosing, and treating any pest and/or disease infestations occurring on the property. You’ll be responsible for selecting the most appropriate product or treatment for each problem. You will also be interacting with our clients, educating them with written diagnostic reports detailing the conditions on their landscape, as well as ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Interest in working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of plant identifications and their respective diseases
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator License or ability to attain license
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean moving vehicle record
  • Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, or a related field OR prior experience working in the tree care industry if preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
